Transferring Calls with GoToConnect
The GoToConnect Desktop application gives you 3 options for transferring calls.
- To warm transfer a call: While on an active call, click Transfer. Dial the name or number you want to transfer the call to. Click Warm Transfer. Speak with the destination party. Click Complete Transfer.
- To blind transfer a call: While on an active call, click Transfer. Dial the name or number you want to transfer the call to. Click Direct Transfer. Your call will end, and the caller will be transferred.
- To transfer a call to voicemail: While on an active call, click Transfer. Dial the name or number you want to transfer the call to. Click Send to Voicemail. Your call will end, and the caller will be transferred to the other extension’s voicemail box.
If you are doing a warm transfer, and the person doesn’t answer, click the red circle - only once. This will hang up from dialing the person you are trying to transfer the call to, but leave the caller on hold. While you still have that first transfer window open, GoToConnect won't allow you to click Transfer again. You first need to click the grey X in the top of the transfer window (this may be hiding behind the active call window). Once you close that window, you can again click Transfer again and send the call to someone else.
